Choosing a Wedding Party Dress by Jaid Chambers
The Wedding is considered as the most important and awaited occasion in one's life. Therefore every preparation in this regard must be thoroughly planned out to make the entire occasion a grand success. The person also wishes that the relatives and the friends remembered his Wedding for years in terms of enjoyments and pleasure. Of all the other preparations, planning of the Wedding Party Dress needs very special attention. Different countries of the world or just say the different communities have specific traditions based on their culture of wearing Dresses during Wedding Parties. The term 'Bridal Gown or Dress' originates from the word al which means party combined with Bride is Bridal or says "Bride's Party Dress". In those days the Wedding Parties were simply known as the "Bride-al's".
Western Culture
Unless specific reasons the color of the Wedding Party Dresses as per the Western Culture is mainly White also better called the Wedding Whites. It can also be in the cream shade or say the Ivory shade. Since the Wedding of Queen Victoria to Albert of Saxe-Coburg in 1840, in the White Wedding Dress this is believed to be the trend-setter or so called culture. However, prior to this the bride used to wear colorful dresses. The bridal train, a part of the Wedding Dress that trails behind the bride symbolizes the tails of the Peacock as it is the Royal Bird.
Indian Culture
In India, for instance, the women mostly prefer wrapping around exclusive sarees prepared with elegant embroideries, zari-work, mirror or semi-precious stones and beads in perfect combination of different laces. Even the Lahenga Cholis have found its place in the modern society. The different varieties of such dresses made from extra fine synthetic clothes in bright color combinations add elegance to the show.
Proper selection of the wedding dress is perhaps the most important decision, which invites special attention and lot more exercise. The dress should be highly impressive and sensibly designed according to personal complexion and physic structure. The rich always has the option of hiring renowned fashion designers of the society and thus get the exclusive dress done for the occasion to give her the most elegant look with almost distinguished personality for the special day.
The Groom's outfit or the Dress is also equally important. Its cloth material and color shades as well as the fitting have to be so perfect that it enhance the glory and elegance of the Groom. The Groom's Garments are better known in Indian terms as the Sherwani Achakan or the Kurta Pyjama with the contrast or matching colored KHES i.e. long gent's scarf. The other necessary dressing accessories for the groom includes long cloth traditionally wrapped around the Head of the Groom are called the "PAGHADI" means the Turbans and the special Indian traditional shoes known as the "MOJADIS".
The wedding saree has to be well preserved because as per the ritual formalities the lady when dies her body has to be covered with the very saree on the way to her funeral-pyre.
